Who Are We
Brothers Helping Brothers is a 501c (3) non-profit organization that was founded in 1998. This organization has been providing resources and servicing the community for over 20 years.
Brothers Helping Brothers is a mentoring vehicle with a focus on "delinquent and at risk" teenage men throughout the state of North and South Carolina. It is our mission to equip these young men with the survival skills necessary to become productive citizens within their respective communities. Productive here is defined at taking a part in the general welfare of the community, law abiding, etc.
Everyday we lose another generation of young men through CRIME and VIOLENCE. As we continue to observe concerned citizens and parents we see our future wasting away. This holds a special truth for minority communities. The statistics for innocent casualties in this continual war has been mounted on their doorstops for too long.
Throughout our country, a short ride through any "inner city" shows us the example of the distress communities described above. The street corners have continued to become freeways of illegal activity waiting to devour another young life. The young men today walk the streets about aimlessly, without HOPE. Life in these war zones have made many see jail as a better way of life.
Brothers Helping Brothers has been committed to joining forces with the community to put an end to losing generations of men for over two decades. It continues to be an URGENT factor to continue developing tools that will attempt to reverse this process.
